“We got a really good stage that both looks great and is easy to handle. Scenesalg.dk had the best offer on price, service and flexibility, and Claus came and taught my people how to set up and take down the stage – that was an invaluable help.”
City Manager in Sønderborg Handel, Jens Bachmann, went online to find mobile stage companies when Sønderborg Handel wanted their first mobile stage. “I ended up with Scenesalg.dk because they had the best offer – both in terms of price, service and flexibility. Here, I got what I wanted.”
“We are very happy with the stage. It looks great and performs well. From the very beginning, it has been used 1-2 times a week for everything from concerts, theater, and culture night to a rapper’s release party etc. People have also started renting it. Without us having advertised it, it is rented out about once a week. It’s all done by word of mouth.”
On the same day that the mobile stage was certified by the Danish Technological Institute, Claus from Scenesalg.dk was also in Sønderborg to teach four of Jens’ people how to set up and take down the mobile stage.
“It was an invaluable help as neither my crew nor I are stage people and none of us had done it before, but the stage is actually easy to handle and it gets quicker and quicker to set it up and take it down. At first I thought the stage was a bit big, but now I think the size is fine. It fits in well with Rådhustorvet and the other squares in the city.”
Silly to have to apply for planning permission
The mobile stage was one of the first to be approved and certified by Scenesalg.dk in accordance with the new Danish rules for stages, mobile stages and tents, which were introduced in 2015 after an accident with a circus tent. Since 2015, Scenesalg.dk has had all mobile stages custom-built to meet the new certification requirements, and the Danish Technological Institute came to Sønderborg to certify the mobile stage on the frame number. And again five years later to recertify the mobile scene, as Danish certifications are valid for five years at a time.
“I had no idea that there was a certification requirement before I bought the mobile stage, but I’ve never bought a mobile stage before, and it would be silly not to buy an approved stage, because you’d have to apply for a building permit every time you set it up. A mobile stage should be easy to drive out and set up!”
“Overall, I am very satisfied with both the mobile scene and Scenesalg.dk. Everything has gone really well,” says Jens Bachmann.

“We are very happy with the mobile scene. It has already been on many different jobs in the first couple of months and in many different places – from Oslo, Drammen, Bergen to Trondheim. We looked everywhere before buying the mobile stage and there were two mobile stages that we thought looked good and matched our specifications. It was the mobile stage from Scenesalg.dk and one from Dansk Mobilscene, but the one from Dansk Mobilscene cost more than twice as much, which made the choice very easy”says Morten Sollie Hansen, Rental Manager at EHS Proshop A/S.
“Many in the industry advised us against buying a mobile stage from anyone other than Dansk Mobilscene, but it turned out that the mobile stage from Scenesalg.dk is made in a much higher quality than we expected. Scenesalg has all their mobile stages custom-made to meet the new strict Danish legal requirements”.
EHS-Proshop received the first of the new special scenes that have arrived in Norway, and we’ve really been pleasantly surprised by both the usability, how fast the mobile scene is to work with and the quality. It’s solidly and well built. Many people come up and praise it and think it looks great when it’s in use.
It was also a requirement from our side that the mobile stage is certified and approved according to the new Danish 2015 rules, because there are also new rules on the way in Norway, but they will probably not be quite as strict as the Danish ones, which are the strictest in Europe, and Scenesalg.dk gets all their mobile stages approved and certified by the Danish Technological Institute, so that part is completely taken care of.
EHS Proshop highly recommends Scenesalg.dk and their mobile stages. We plan to invest in two mobile stages from Scenesalg.dk within the next two years. Morten Sollie Hansen, Rental Manager at EHS Proshop A/S, Oslo – www.ehs.no
“We are very satisfied with the mobile stage and also with the contact with Scenesalg.dk, and it was great that Claus came to Kalix and did a set-up course for us.”
Scenesalg won the Swedish tender for a 45m2 mobile stage for Kalix Municipality – with an offer that was both the cheapest of all and had “the best price-quality ratio“. “We use the mobile stage for everything from festivals to skiing competitions to celebrating Sweden’s National Day. We mainly use the mobile stage in the summer, but sometimes it’s also set up in the winter. We use the PA wings a couple of times a year when we need a large PA system,” says Olov Helmfors Jonsson, Mobile Stage Manager at Kalix Municipality. Scenesalg’s mobile stages are all certified and approved for year-round use by the Danish Technological Institute according to the strict Danish 2015 requirements, and although Sweden doesn’t have such strict requirements yet, this was important to Kalix Municipality. “For us, it’s really good to have the certification behind us. It feels safe and future-proof,” says Olov Helmfors Jonsson.
Good with training
Claus from Scenesalg went to Kalix and did a hands-on course on how the municipality’s employees can set up and take down the mobile stage in the best and fastest way.
“It was a good course. I know, both from my own experience and what I hear from others, that instructors from countries of origin are not always that good – mostly due to language barriers. And I would recommend all municipalities and associations that are going to buy a mobile stage to train a handful of people who can set up the mobile stage, and to have one person who is primarily responsible and has both good knowledge of and interest in setting up mobile stages. This person will also be responsible for training others and creating a safety plan.”
Olov himself is an experienced AV technician who has set up many scenes. “There are always little things that can be improved depending on what you use the stage for, but we are very satisfied with Scenesalg. All contact has been good and smooth, even when we have had questions and suggestions for updates and possible improvements,” says Olov Helmfors Jonsson.

Suggestions from Olov and our other customers have been incorporated into the new 2024 model, where we have made many improvements that make the mobile scene safer and faster to work with, as well as more robust and durable.
“A very nice mobile scene, and at a much better price than in Norway. I’m very happy with the mobile stage and
have satisfied customers who think it looks great. I’ve had Johnny Logan, Manfred Man’s Earth Band, and top Norwegian artists on it, and they’re all happy.”
The stage has been used both outdoors and indoors in sports arenas/gymnasiums. It’s much faster to set up a mobile stage than to deal with stage podiums and truss, says Kenneth Pedersen from Mobilscene Helgeland in Nordland, Norway.
I was a bit skeptical about sending so much money abroad (Scenesalg.dk requires payment prior to delivery). But after checking that Scenesalg participates in the major sound, light, image and stage fairs (then they must be serious), the deal was finalized. The mobile stage was delivered by the seller on the ferry from Denmark to Oslo, just as agreed. Then it was just a matter of picking it up in Oslo and driving it home to Sandnessjøen.
Overall, the purchase was a very good process and the communication with Scenesalg.dk has been very good throughout. Even, later, when I needed TÜV certificates for annual certification from the Krankontrollen – these were forwarded and approval was issued without any problems. It is important that the paperwork is in order when you rent out a stage.
Kenneth Pedersen also looked at other mobile stages before choosing the one from Scenesalg.dk “The other stages were a lot more expensive. I saved a lot of money by importing the mobile stage myself, and the quality is absolutely excellent.”
