August 2025 news – first tent approved to be placed on top of a stage

Many people think that if both the tent and the stage are certified and approved by the Danish Technological Institute, it is also legal to put the tent on top of the stage.

But it’s not, because it then becomes a new construction, which must then also be approved and certified. According to the Danish Technological Institute, no one in Denmark has had a tent on stage approved before now.

But in July, a Danish tent manufacturer got their tent approved to be set up on our Nivtec stages. In many different tent widths and lengths.

Now we can finally sell an approved solution where the tent does not need to be on the ground next to the stage. This provides many opportunities to use stage platforms as a tent floor on uneven and sloping terrain.

Easy to adjust height on uneven terrain

And our stages have a huge advantage because there aren’t many legs under the podiums, so there are fewer legs to adjust. In the picture you can see how many legs you save on a 12 x 8 m stage.
You can use the regular aluminum stage legs and pull them out over a spider foot – they fit together in size. Then it’s easy to adjust the height with one foot and level the floor.
