Harboøre Rytmisk Musikforening bought a 45 m2 mobile stage with PA wings in the summer of 2016, which has since been used extensively for the Haze over Haarum festival organized by the association and has hosted many big bands such as Magtens Korridorer, Suspect, Johnny Madsen, Lars Lilholt Poul Krebs, Henning Stærk, Tørfisk, Jacob Haugaard and many others.”Even though it’s not the biggest mobile stage on the market, it has worked really well for us and the musicians have been happy with it,” says Erling Jensen, chairman of Harboøre Rytmisk Musikforening.
Erling and a few other members of the association looked at several mobile stages before making a decision. “We saw another mobile stage that also looked nice, but it cost about twice as much before we had all the equipment, and it didn’t make sense to us. We think we got a lot of mobile stage for our money, and you rarely hear that from a West Jutlander,” says Erling Jensen with a smile.
Didn’t expect customers from Scenesalg
In addition to the Haze over Haarum festival, volunteers from the association also go out and set up the mobile stage at other events. The money goes to the association, and some of the customers actually come from Scenesalg. Scenesalg has chosen not to have rentals, and therefore passes on the rental customers.”It was not something that mattered when we bought the mobile stage, because we did not think that a company on Zealand would have customers for mobile stage jobs in West Jutland. But we’ve actually gotten several good rentals via Scenesalg, so it’s been an unexpected bonus,” says Erling Jensen.
Since we’ve started bringing the stage around, we’ve also made contact with a few of the professional sound & light and stage rental companies who sometimes use us when they’re too busy themselves – we take that as a seal of quality for both the stage and our little rental shop.”
“We’ve had a good working relationship with Scenesalg, even after the sale, including certification of the stage, so we were sure that the rules were complied with. And we also purchased a 3 x 3 meter FOH tent, which has become very popular for rental,” says Erling Jensen.
