OUR TRIBUNES ARE as easy as building with Lego bricks
Faster than other grandstand systems
Our podiums have “male” and “female” sides that are easily hooked together. You don’t have to crawl under the stand and fasten it together with clamps.
There are also only four legs under the first podium and two legs under the rest of the grandstand row.
This saves time, space and money, and on uneven terrain there are far fewer legs to adjust.
The leg lock is also always easy to open and close with one hand – no screws or twists.
And the podiums are finol impregnated, so they can also be used outdoors for shorter periods and are easy to wash.
They are certified and approved for 750 kg per m²(7.5 kN/m²) – that’s 1.5 tons per podium.
Choose your own size and height
You choose the height of the individual rows of stands:
20 cm is the most popular for stands with chairs or seats
33.33 cm is the classic theater grandstand
40 cm fits well when the audience sits on top of the podiums – possibly with a cushion.
Because the stands are made up of podiums, you can also easily resize
and expand both in width and height when more seats are needed.
Easy and approved grandstand railing
Our railing bolts are screwed directly into the legs through a multifunction hole and then the railing is pulled down over the bolts. This makes it approved for grandstand structures over one meter, and it’s quick and easy to set up and take down.
There are special requirements for grandstand handrails – for example, they must be 110 cm in height and with vertical “bars”, but our handrails are certified and approved by the Danish Technological Institute, so you won’t have any problems.
CHAIRS, BENCHES AND ROWS OF SEATS
It’s super easy to attach fixed benches and rows of chairs to our podiums because they can be screwed into the legs just like the railing. You screw a special bolt into each end of the podium and then pull the stand down and secure it. Quick and stable.
It’s the same principle whether you choose a single wooden bench row or rows of chairs.
We have both fixed plastic chair seats and chairs where the seats automatically tilt up when not in use.
We also have the luxury version with upholstered seats – the same type that Brøndby has chosen for their VIP seats in the Vilfort stand.
And very simple plastic seats with an aluminum frame that is placed directly on the podiums and fits a grandstand with a 40 cm height difference between the rows. The aluminum frame is also screwed into the legs so that the seats are completely fixed.
You can also use your own chairs and place them directly on the podiums. Or we can supply chairs that are suitable for grandstand use and that can be linked together in long rows for easy handling. We have chairs with and without upholstery.
And the legally required chair stop strips for stands.
CARDRIBONS
It’s easy to build short stands in multiple heights. And with a solid railing on the back row that is approved for 100 kg per meter. You can build an almost infinite number of rows – and in whatever width suits the choir and the task.
“When all four of my choirs are together for a concert, there are about 200 singers. But when they’re standing on the five rows of five rows of 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 cm, all the singers can see me and I can see them. And the singers and the audience can see each other too. It’s much better than standing in a large group on the ground,” explains choir director and composer Peter Spies.
Many old churches have quite uneven floors, but we have adjustable legs that are easy
to adjust so the grandstand stands straight. And we have rubber floor protectors that are easy to click on and great for delicate floors and sports halls.
Covered stands
It is possible to cover the stands, which is often a good solution for sports arenas. We have grandstand roofs in many sizes and shapes.
They are produced in Germany in a good and solid quality and with static calculations that meet the strict Danish approval requirements for installation.
The cheapest certification in Denmark
When you build a stand that is more than 1 meter in height, the stand must either be certified or you must apply for a building permit from the municipality every time the stand is set up.
The certification is valid for five years at a time, and we have the cheapest certification in Denmark. It costs only DKK 7,960 and the price includes a visit from the Danish Technological Institute, driving, all paperwork and certification documents.
The recertification every five years costs the same, we have no hidden fees or additional payment requirements.
Can also be used as a stage
You can also use the podiums and legs to build stages of different sizes and heights. This provides great flexibility and the stages are just as easy to set up and take down as the stands.
Denmark has special rules for stands – we make sure they are complied with
Denmark has slightly stricter rules for stands and rows of seats than the rest of the EU. Among other things, the seats must be wider than the EU’s requirements, so stands have to be built slightly differently to comply with the legislation. We work closely with the Danish Technological Institute, and in case of doubt, we involve them in the final drawings so that everything is in order.
meet us at trade shows or in our showroom
We exhibit at all major trade fairs throughout the Nordic region. Here you can come and see the different grandstand options and try working with the podiums, see the color options and seats etc.
The next trade fair in Denmark is Idrættens Branchedage, on 13 November 2025 in Vejen Idrætscenter. But before that, we will be exhibiting at Audio Visual Expo in Tampere, Finland on October 8 and 9.

Do you want a stand that can drive itself in and out?
Then you should choose a telescopic stand, which is set up via a controller. They can be fully retracted so they don’t take up much space when they’re set up. It’s a quick solution when the stand always has to be in the same place, but it’s also more expensive than a stand made of podiums.
FAQ
Here we have gathered the most frequently asked questions about buying a podium stand.
Remember, you are always welcome to contact us for answers to your questions.
How much does a grandstand cost?
That’s as hard to answer as how much a red car costs 😉
It all depends on how high and wide you want the stand to be. Do you want benches, seats or chairs? And whether it should be covered or not. But a grandstand built from podiums is usually much cheaper than a telescopic grandstand. We will be happy to make you a non-binding offer.
What size stands do you have?
Podium stands are available in any size you want. It’s a bit like building with Lego bricks, you choose how high, wide and deep you want the stands to be from time to time.
How many people can there be?
It depends on the size of the stand. But as we can build stands of all sizes, it’s a question of how much space you have – and how many people you would like to accommodate.
Normally you expect about 50 cm per person and there are legal requirements for staircases – both the number of them and the width. Call us on +45 31 15 77 77 77 and we can help you calculate the grandstand.
How long does it take to set up a grandstand?
It all depends on the height and width. But our stands are hooked together with male and female sides, saving you a lot of time.
What are the rules for stands?
If you build a stand that is higher than 1 meter, it must either be certified or you must apply for a building permit from the municipality each time it is erected.
If it is certified, you will receive a certification document from the Danish Technological Institute, who are the only ones allowed to certify stands.
The EU has a standard for stands and stages called EN 13814 – also known as “fliegende bauten” – floating rides. However, Denmark has had special rules since 2015, which means that there are stricter requirements for stairwells and how wide chairs and seats must be on a grandstand.
A special stand railing is also required when the stand is higher than one meter.
For a building permit, the submitted calculations must take this into account and show that they also comply with the Danish special rules. Ditto when a podium system needs to be approved and certified for grandstand construction. Our grandstand podiums are certified and approved, so you do not need to apply for a building permit.
If a stand is set up for more than six weeks at a time, it is considered a permanent stand, which is subject to building regulations, but the rules and requirements are almost the same.
Why does the railing look different?
Special child safety railings are required on stands that are higher than one meter.
The railing must be 1.10 meters high, with vertical bars, which must be so close that a child cannot get out between the bars. And it must be approved for 100 kg per meter.
Which chairs can we put in the stands?
Often you can use your own chairs – they just need to be at least 50 cm wide (CC dimensions). And it’s best if they can be linked together. There is also a requirement for chair stops on some stands to prevent chair legs from falling between two rows of stands.
How do we transport the grandstand?
You can choose to move the podiums around on pallets – we deliver them with special pallets that fit the size. But we also have smart transport trolleys – and wheels to move stacks of podiums. And trolleys for legs and accessories.
It’s especially useful to have a trolley for handrails because they can be a bit of a hassle to store and move around.
How long is the delivery time?
Smaller stands can often be delivered at short notice, but larger and taller stands can take 2-8 weeks to deliver.
When do we have to pay for the grandstand?
You only have to pay for the stand two weeks before it is ready to be shipped from the factory.
What does it mean that a mobile stage is certified?
When a grandstand – or rather the podiums used to build a grandstand – is certified, you don’t need to apply for a building permit when you set it up. This is otherwise a requirement for stands that are higher than one meter.
What do our customers say?
“I’ve been hooked ever since I tried the short stand for the first time. Nivtec is totally superior to conventional podium systems. You don’t have to crawl around underneath the podiums in awkward positions to tighten everything together with clamps.”
PETER SPIES
CHOIR DIRECTOR & COMPOSER

“The stage works really well – it’s a really well thought out system and comfortable to work with. And it’s good that there are approvals and certifications on everything. We give it 5 out of 5!”
PETER ISAK
HØJBY SCHOOL

“No grand gestures and sales talk, and we like that here in Jutland. Overall, we have only positive things to say about the Nivtec stage and Scenesalg.dk – we highly recommend them”.
